Boy, 4, rushed to hospital after being mauled by dog on street as Staffie and Pocket Bully type pets seized by cops

A FOUR-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries to his leg and face after a brutal dog attack on a residential street.
A Pocket Bully and a Staffordshire bull terrier type dogs have been seized by cops following the harrowing attack in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and asking for CCTV footage of the incident.
The attack happened on Thwaites Road in broad daylight.
The owner of the dogs has been identified by police.
No update on the child's condition has been given.

Hyndburn Police said in a statement: "We were called at shortly after 1.30pm on Monday 26th May following reports that a child had been bitten by a dog on Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle.
"The child, a four-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with injuries to his leg and face. Thankfully, those injuries are not life threatening.
"Two dogs have been seized by police – a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type and a Pocket Bully Type and the dog owner has been identified and will be spoken to in due course.
"We know this may be concerning to hear about, but we want to reassure you that enquiries are ongoing into the incident, and we are asking for your help to assist those enquiries.

"We are particularly interested in viewing any CCTV footage of the area, that may have captured the incident.
"If you have any information or footage, or witnessed the incident, please call 101 quoting log 0603 of May 26th."
The news comes just a few weeks after two toddlers were left seriously injured after being attacked by a dog near Liverpool.
The two-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were injured inside a property in Prescot, Merseyside.
Both were taken to hospital and the dog was seized. The breed has not been revealed.
