Man in his 60s ‘sexually assaulted’ outside cricket club as another man, 46, arrested

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was allegedly sexually assaulted outside a cricket club.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested following the assault in Purbrook, Hampshire, between 5:30pm and 6pm on May 25.
The man reported being touched "inappropriately" under his shirt while sitting outside the sports ground on Purbrook Heath Road.
A police probe is ongoing into the alleged sex attack, with the suspect, from Portsmouth, released under investigation.
Cops are appealing for two witnesses to come forward, a man and a woman also at the cricket club, who may have seen the assault.
The man, described as being in his 40s-50s with greying black hair, was carrying a backpack and bottle of wine at the time.

And the middle-aged woman was said to be wearing a blue floral dress with a white sun hat.
In a statement, Hampshire Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses and information after a man reported being sexually assaulted in Purbrook.
"A man in his 60s reported that he had been sat outside of the cricket club on Purbrook Heath Road, when a man touched him inappropriately under his shirt.
"As part of our enquiries, we have arrested a 46 year-old man from Portsmouth on suspicion of sexual assault.

"He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
"It was reported that a man and a woman who were at the cricket club at the time may have witnessed the incident.
"We are keen to speak to these potential witnesses, as they may be able to provide us with information which could assist our investigation."
