Nigel Farage dismisses ‘ridiculous’ claims he is a ‘person of interest’ in FBI investigation into Trump’s campaign and Russia
Former Ukip boss and Trump pal brands 'laughable' claims as 'hysterical nonsense' after shock newspaper report

NIGEL Farage has said claims he is a "person of interest" in an FBI probe into alleged links between the Trump campaign and Russia are "complete baloney".
The former Ukip leader said it is "hysterical nonsense" to suggest he could be involved in a Kremlin campaign to influence the US election after shock allegations emerged in today.
The paper quoted sources saying he is linked due to his relationships with Trump, the President's inner circle and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
FBI spooks are investigating the Republican campaign over allegations the Trump team may have colluded with the Russians during the 2016 election campaign.
Farage has not been accused of wrongdoing and is not a suspect in the US investigation.

Wikileaks is a key part of the probe after hacked Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails were published by Assange's whistleblowing site.
The emails were damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign and some believe they played a key role in helping Trump claim victory.
US investigators later determined they were provided to Wikileaks through a third party after being hacked by operatives at the behest of Vladimir Putin.
The source told the paper: "One of the things the intelligence investigators have been looking at is points of contact and persons involved.
"If you triangulate Russia, WikiLeaks, Assange and Trump associates the person who comes up with the most hits is Nigel Farage.
"He’s right in the middle of these relationships. He turns up over and over again. There’s a lot of attention being paid to him."
In response, Farage said: "It has taken me a long time to finish reading because I am laughing so much.
"This hysterical attempt to associate me with the Putin regime is a result of the liberal elite being unable to accept Brexit and the election of President Trump.
"For the record I have never been to Russia, I've had no business dealings with Russia in my previous life and I have appeared approximately three times on RT in the last 18 months.
"I consider it extremely doubtful that I could be a person of interest to the FBI as I have no connections to Russia.
"My meeting with Julian Assange was organised for me by LBC Radio with a view to conducting an interview."
He later branded the claims as "completely baloney" and "hysterical nonsense", reported.
Among the links cited by the source were Farage's friendship to Roger Stone, an ex-adviser to Trump.
He claimed he was unaware at the time that US officials believed the account holder had ties to Russia.

He has also been pictured numerous times with Trump and the US President's inner circle, including in the moments after Trump was declared victorious during the election.
And in February, he was pictured having dinner with Trump after being summoned to the White House to brief US leaders on Theresa May's Brexit progress.
