Bitter jihadi pastry chef Rachid Redouane applied for job at top Irish cake shop Queen of Tarts and was REJECTED

The London Bridge attacker was left frustrated after his bid to work at the cafe in Dublin's Temple Bar ended in failure

EVIL London jihadi Rachid Redouane was left embittered after applying for a job with one of Ireland’s best known cake shops - and being rejected.

The twisted terrorist, who classed himself as a pastry chef on his marriage certificate, was left frustrated after his bid to work at Queen of Tarts in Dublin’s Temple Bar ended in failure.

Detectives made the discovery as part of their investigation into the London Bridge attacker’s time spent living in Ireland.

They interviewed a manager of the shop yesterday in an effort to gather information on the maniac.

Queen of Tarts told The Sun: “The person who would have information on that is not here.”

The Sun can also reveal cops have identified a witness to Redouane’s wedding to Charisse O’Leary in Dublin in November 2012.

But detectives believe Khalil Chadili, from Morocco, has since departed Ireland.

A source said: “[Police] have managed to identify this individual and are satisfied he has now left the country.

“There is nothing to suggest he was involved in terrorism.

“The investigation into Redouane’s background here is continuing and no stone will be left unturned as part of the efforts to track down his associates.”

Our latest revelations come after the killer’s ex-wife broke her silence yesterday to reveal her pain over the London Bridge terror attack.

In a statement, Charisse, mum to 20-month-old Amina, said: “My heartfelt thoughts go out to all those murdered or injured in the events of June 3, 2017.

“I am deeply shocked, saddened and numbed by the actions of my ex-partner who has killed and injured so many innocent people.

“Since discovering that it was Rachid that was responsible I have shed many tears for the people caught up in this horrific incident.

“Rachid and I have been separated for six months. We have a beautiful young daughter that, for the last six months, has been our only bond and reason for contact.

“My thoughts and efforts now are with trying to bring up my daughter with the knowledge that someday I’ll have to try and explain to her why her father did what he did.

“I wish to make it absolutely clear, so there can be no doubt, I condemn his actions and do not support the beliefs he held that led to him committing this atrocity.”

We also told how an ISIS money-laundering suspect, a 36-year-old man from Morocco, was arrested on Wednesday, having initially been nabbed last month in the south of Dublin.

While being quizzed by Irish police, he was hit with a deportation order and was told he had until Wednesday morning to leave the country or present himself to Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) officers.

Upon his arrival at GNIB HQ, he was immediately arrested and taken to Cloverhill Prison.
