Fantasist Jemma Beale lied that 15 men raped her and sent an innocent man to jail — HOW did cops believe her?
The 25-year-old bisexual boasted of getting £11,000 in compensation while Met chiefs were said to have been blinkered into believing her complaints were genuine

A SERIAL fantasist has been convicted of falsely accusing 15 men of rape — amid fury over how she hoodwinked cops.
Jemma Beale sent an innocent man to jail during three years of “appalling lies”.
Mahad Cassim, 37, spent almost four years in prison for a 2010 “attack”.
While he was locked up bisexual Beale, 25, boasted of getting £11,000 in criminal injuries compensation.
Yet a month after Mr Cassim’s January 2012 conviction, police and the CPS missed a golden opportunity to nail Beale.
She confessed to live-in partner Anuska Pritchard, 26, that she framed Mr Cassim for cash. Disgusted Anuska walked out.
Her mum Sam texted Beale over her boasts. But Beale called cops to claim she was being harassed — and Sam was warned not to contact her again.
The texts went uninvestigated and Beale continued to “cry rape”.
Met chiefs are said to have been blinkered into believing her complaints were genuine in the wake of the Jimmy Savile and Rotherham scandals at the time.
A source said: “Nobody wanted to believe Beale was a liar. It was too difficult. The attitude was that she was a vulnerable victim so they did nothing.”
Most of Beale’s claims came as she sought attention after rows with girlfriends. In July 2012 she claimed she was gang-raped by four men and attacked with barbed wire in Hounslow, West London. But CCTV showed her walking home alone and her injuries were self-inflicted.
She used the “attack” to claim another payout.

In August 2013, she pretended she was sexually assaulted by two men outside her home in New Addlestone, Surrey.
Three months later she reported she had been gang-raped again. Two men were arrested.
By now detectives were suspicious. They found Beale had repeatedly threatened suicide and made false rape reports to other forces dating back to 2008.
The alarm was raised in December 2013 but it took seven months before Beale was arrested. She was interviewed five times between June 2014 and April 2015.
In March 2016 she was charged with perjury and perverting justice.
She was convicted of the offences at Southwark crown court on July 6 and remanded in custody until August 24.
Somali-born Mr Cassim left jail after his conviction was quashed in July 2015.
A relative said: “He lost everything and can never get that time back. She needs to go to prison for a long time.”
Det Sgt Kevin Lynott said: “Beale has been exposed as a serial liar. I can only think that she was motivated partly by financial reward, but mainly the attention and control over her partners and family.”
DISGUSTED BY GLOATING FIB

JEMMA Beale was a sadistic bully who gloated about the money she got for her fake accusations, her ex-girlfriend says.
Anuska Pritchard, 24, said Beale duped her into giving evidence for her at Mahan Cassim’s trial.
But Anuska said that weeks later Beale told her she had made up the rape claims to get £11,000 in criminal compensation.
Anuska, who spent four years with Beale after they met online when she was 15, said: “I felt totally disgusted. I had nursed Jemma through her ‘ordeal’ and it had all been a lie.”
Anuska said Beale had a “split personality, caring Jemma and nasty Jemma”.
She added: “She was controlling, isolating me. It was classic domestic abuse.”
