Boxer Amir Khan to pay for funeral costs of mum and three kids who died in horrific Bolton house fire
The boxer was touched by the plight of Aneesha Umerji, 40, and her children

AMIR Khan has offered to pay the funeral costs for a mum and three children who died in a horrific house fire.
The boxer was touched by the plight of Aneesha Umerji, 40, her two sons Hammad, 12, and Yusuf, ten, and five year old daughter Khadija who all died on Saturday after a blaze broke out at their home in Bolton, Gtr Manchester.
The fire started when one of the children accidentally plugged in a halogen heater while trying to charge an iPad.
The heater is believed to have then set fire to a nearby sofa, sparking an inferno.
Dad Zubair Umerji, 41, was upstairs at the time and managed to escape by jumping head first of the window to the concrete floor below.
The former petrol station boss then tried to smash his way into the property but was beaten back by the flames.
Amir, who has friends who live in the street where the fire was, told The Sun: “I don’t know the family but they are very local to me and I have friends from the same street who knew them.
“The Amir Khan Foundation will pay for the funerals if they need support.
My thoughts go out to them. Being from Bolton I'm here for them and I hope the father recovers.”
