Tory council chief Nadia Cenci quits after blasting ‘complaining’ Grenfell inferno survivors in series of sick tweets
She said they 'came out of it alive' and suggested she was losing sympathy for them

A TORY council chief has quit after posting “offensive” tweets about the Grenfell Tower inferno survivors.
Nadia Cenci, 60, suggested she was fast losing sympathy for the victims.
Agreeing with another Twitter user who accused them of “complaining” she wrote: “Not forgetting they came out of it alive.”
She deleted her Twitter account after a barrage of criticism and yesterday resigned as leader of Ipswich Council’s opposition.
Cllr Cenci insisted she meant no offence but admitted her comments were “worded badly”.

She said in a statement: “I ought not to have expressed myself in the terms I did, and I am profoundly sorry for any offence caused.”
The mum, a business, confidence and performance coach, added: “I shall be continuing as a councillor.”
Council chief David Ellesmere said: “Her apology was as badly worded as her original comments that caused so much offence.”
