Shocking video shows 18 blindfolded ‘ISIS prisoners’ being shot in the head in copycat mass execution in Libya

SHOCKING footage showing handcuffed "ISIS terrorists" being gunned down at point-blank rage by Libyan fighters has emerged online.
The video, which has not been verified, shows gunmen of the Libyan National Army forcing 18 jihadists to kneel in the dirt before shooting them in the back of the head.
The mass killing chillingly echoes the execution videos proudly distributed by the terror group.
The LNA, led by Khalifa Haftar, is one of many factions - including Islamic State - fighting for control in war-torn Libya.
Earlier this month The United Nations called on the LNA to investigate summary executions of prisoners.
UN human rights spokeswoman Liz Throssell said: "We are deeply concerned that, after recent fighting in Benghazi, people taken prisoner by members of the Libyan National Army, which effectively controls eastern Libya, may be at imminent risk of torture and even summary execution."
Two weeks ago, Haftar declared the city of Benghazi's "liberation" in a televised speech after three years of fighting.
But street battles continue as his LNA troops face resistance from the Majlis Shura Thuwar Benghazi, an alliance of ex-rebels and Islamists.
Political rivalry and fighting between militias have hampered Libya's recovery from the chaos that followed the 2011 uprising that toppled and longtime dictator Colonel Gaddafi, who was killed in the aftermath.
Western intelligence services fear that Islamic State jihadists are capitalising on the chaos to set up bases in Libya as they are chased from their former strongholds in Iraq and Syria.
With no national army, brigades of former rebels who once fought together to oust Gaddafi have become powerful competing factions.
Each is backed by rival political leaders in fluid alliances locked in a struggle for control.
Fighting between the self-styled Libyan National Army and rival armed groups in Benghazi killed six troops and wounded eight as the LNA advanced into the last pockets of resistance in eastern Libya's largest city, a commander said on Saturday.
The LNA also carried out air strikes on armed groups in the city of Derna, further east, who fired back with anti-aircraft cannon, witnesses told Reuters.
Haftar, a former Gaddafi ally who turned against him, has gained ground with support from Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
