Politicians’ portraits hilariously hijacked as internet jokers give MPs madcap back-stories
Pictures were posted on a beta version of parliament.uk website, but Twitter users had plans for the specially-taken snaps

INTERNET jokers have hijacked a set of MPs’ photos to give the politicians imaginative back-stories.
They include Mid Sussex’s Tory MP Sir Nicholas Soames who will “sit next to you in the pub on the moor and tell you of the thing — the tentacled thing — he saw one night 40 years ago”.

The portraits, by London-based Chris McAndrew, were posted on a beta version of the parliament.uk website.
But Twitter users had other ideas and tweeted the shots with mocking captions.
