KATE Middleton has revealed her top tip for giving kids the best start in life - discussing their feelings.
The Duchess of Cambridge urged them to understand "emotions are normal", just weeks after a nervous-looking Prince George started school.
In a video message that will be played to pupils across Britain, mum of two Kate tells kids they will sometimes "have feelings too big to manage on our own".
The footage, recorded earlier this year, could be seen by George's classmates, as it will be sent to all schools on Thursday by the .
In the video, she said the newly released animated video would help open up the conversation about mental health, saying: "It helps us all talk about our mental health, what to say and who to talk to when we have feelings that are too big to manage on our own, and how to listen and help if one of our friends is finding things difficult."
A patron of the campaign, Kate also wrote an introduction in a leaflet to help parents and carers talk about mental health.
In the pamphlet, she said: "As parents, we all want our children to have the best possible start in life.
"Encouraging children to understand and be open about their feelings can give them the skills to cope with the ups and downs that life will throw at them as they grow up.
"It's important that our children understand that emotions are normal and that they have the confidence to ask for help if they are struggling."
The 35-year-old has not been seen in public since Kensington Palace confirmed the news that a new royal baby is on the way on September 4 2017.
The mum was notably absent from her son's first day at school, forced to miss it due to severe morning sickness.
Dad Prince William instead dropped off the couple's eldest son, George.
The statement from the palace, it said: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The due date has not yet been announced by Kensington Palace.

Typically couples will wait until the three-month mark before announcing they are expecting a baby.
The Sun's Royal Correspondent Emily Andrews believes the Duchess will have been forced to announce has pregnancy early due to suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) as she did in her previous pregnancies.
The new baby is expected to arrive in April 2018.
