Weinstein ‘threatened to destroy Bond Girl Eva Green’s career’ when she snubbed him in Paris hotel room

SHAMED Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed Bond Girl Eva Green during a meeting at a Paris hotel, the star's mum has claimed.
The French actress, 37, managed to escape his clutches after being summoned to the movie mogul's luxury suite, said Marlene Jobert.
“My daughter Eva was the victim of this horrible man …” the 76-year old said in a adding she was speaking on her daughter’s behalf.
“At the time, I was truly horrified, so scandalised that I wanted to do something, but my daughter said ‘Absolutely Not! You do not know the evil he is capable of.’"
While her daughter has resisted speaking out personally, Jobert said she was motivated to “add another testimony because it isn’t possible that this guy goes unpunished. This odious character must be prosecuted.”
Green, who now stars in Penny Dreadful, was targeted by mulit-millionaire Weinstein during 2010-11, said Jobert.
She said: “She was intimidated, this guy had so much power, power over all cinema!
“It was difficult, took time to recover, she prefers to forget and not talk about it today.
"He operated with her the exact same way he acted with all the others, under the pretext of a professional meeting, of a script that had to get to her with a nice part into the bargain.
"Since his office was also in his hotel suite, she [Eva] followed him, and the exact same thing happened to her as to the others. She managed to escape, but he threatened to destroy her professionally."
The latest claims come as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences meet to discuss the scandal.
On Saturday morning, the academy’s 54-member board will meet in LA to discuss what to do about Weinstein in the wake of the revelations.
Options include doing nothing, revoking his membership - as BAFTA did on Wednesday - and even nullifying the best-picture Oscar he won in 1999 for producing “Shakespeare in Love.”
Weinstein has been accused of harassing and assaulting multiple women over several decades, including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd and Cara Delevingne.
Up to 30 women have so far come forward to accuse Weinstein of sex crimes - including three rape allegations.
The FBI and police in New York and London have all opened investigations into Weinstein, with one cop calling him a “super-predator”.
"Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein," his representative Sallie Hofmeister has said.
