Hillary Clinton praises NHS after she ‘breaks her toe falling down the stairs in heels’ and is forced to postpone media interviews including Women’s Hour and This Morning

HILLARY CLINTON was forced to apologise today when she missed multiple media appearances after breaking her toe.
The Former Secretary of State was set to appear on BBC Women's Hour, ITV's This Morning and to film for the BBC's Graham Norton Show.
But she was forced to delay and cancel numerous appearances.
She told the Graham Norton Show: "I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards.
"I tried to get up and it really hurt. I've broken my toe. I've received excellent care from your excellent health service."
ITV Presenter Philip Schofield said the ex-First Lady had "fallen over and hurt her foot".
He posted a picture of her book on Snapchat with the caption: Supposed to be interviewing Hillary Clinton... but she's fallen over and hurt her foot!! Gutted."
However, he later added another picture showing him dashing back to the studio to do a pre-recording with her for tomorrow's show.
And she was set to be quizzed by the BBC's Jane Harvey on Women's Hour at 10am this morning, but was running late.
Apologising on air when it was clear she wasn't going to make it in time, Ms Garvey said:
"Hillary Clinton has been delayed this morning, as I’ve already said. It does look like she’s not going to make it before the end of the programme.
"I’m really, really sorry about that. I think you can understand just how sorry I am.
"We’re working very, very hard to get this interview rescheduled and Hillary Clinton is very apologetic. So what can I say, that’s the situation.”
Sources told MailOnline that she had fallen following her appearance at the South Bank Centre last night to talk about her new book What Happened.
Ms Clinton went on to do a recorded interview for the BBC's Graham Norton Show - to be aired later this week.
She was said to have fallen down the stairs and now has a broken toe.
Yesterday the failed Presidential candidate slammed the "double standards" that women in politics face, saying it cost her the election to Donald Trump.
She said women faced "maddening" standards in public life - saying the only way to solve the problem was to get more women into politics.
She told crowds at the Cheltenham Literature Festival that while she had struggled to get out of bed in the aftermath of the US presidential elections, she had been helped by long walks in the woods, reading mystery novels, playing with her dogs and yoga.
She further opened up about the election in her talk at Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival, saying that Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 elections were a "direct attack to American institutions".
She said: "We have really well-respected security and intelligence veterans saying this was a kind of cyber 9/11 in the sense that it was a direct attack to American institutions.
