Sainsbury’s toy sale sees parents fighting in Chelmsford branch for half-price bargains
Excited shoppers were pictured in the aisles of the Chelmsford supermarket after a number of popular brands slashed their prices

A BRAWL reportedly broke out today between parents at Sainsbury's in Essex in an apparent row over half-price Christmas toys.
Excited shoppers were pictured filling the aisles of the Chelmsford supermarket in Springfield after a number of popular brands including Barbie, Nerf, Spider-Man and Disney slashed their prices.
One shopper, a mum-of-two wanted to remain anonymous, told of the "chaos" she spotted after walking in to do her weekly shop.
She said: "There was people everywhere and you couldn't get close to the products.
“Someone nearly broke the shoelace on my Converse in a scuffle to get to the Barbie section, which had all gone by 9am.
“It was mad. I had to abandon my trolley and hope that no one stole my stuff as there was no way you’d be able to get your trolley down the aisle.
“People were getting quite cross and shouting at their kids. It was a bit of a bun fight."
The exclusive toy sale, which started this morning, is only available in Sainsbury’s stores and not online.
