Dad of murdered Eastenders actress Gemma McCluskie disowns the son who killed her

THE dad of murdered Eastenders actress Gemma McCluskie has disowned the son who killed her, saying he had shown "not an ounce of remorse".
Gemma's dismembered body was found in London's Regent's canal in 2012 after she and brother Tony are said to have fallen out over his drug use.
Anthony McCluskie originally stood by his son but told a TV documentary he has now cut ties after telling the killer: "I've had enough, Tony."
Tony McCluskie, a heavy cannabis user, claims to have no recollection of killing his 29-year-old sister, who played Kerry Skinner in the BBC One soap.
A court heard the skunk addict, who smoked 15 joints a day, hit her over the head at least twice before dismembering her body and dumping it in the canal.
Tony was jailed for life and told he will spend a minimum of 20 years behind bars.
Speaking in an episode of Crimes that Shook Britain, due to be aired tonight, Anthony says: “I said right at the start I would stand by him. I really did mean it because I was going to lose two children, not one.
“My sister said, ‘Why are you saying that? How can you stand by him?’ I said, ‘He’s my flesh and blood. I’ve got to stand by him'.”
However, Tony's lack of remorse over the killing has driven his father to disown him.
Anthony explains: “He’s not showing no remorse, not an ounce of remorse. He doesn’t mention her name.
"I’m trying to support and look after him, but he’s not showing no remorse — and that was it. In the end I went: 'I’ve had enough, Tony'."
Crimes That Shook Britain will air at 10pm tonight on the Crime + Investigation channel.
