STILL A DANGER

Baby P’s monster mother Tracey Connelly to spend two more years in jail after being denied parole

In her second review, the Parole Board has ruled that Tracey Connelly is still a danger to the public and will not be released

THE evil mother of Baby P will spend at least two more years in prison, having once again been denied parole.

Officials have ruled that Tracey Connelly, who was first jailed in 2009 for allowing her partner and his brother to torture her son Peter to death, is still a danger to the public.

The monster was released on licence in 2013, but put back behind bars a year-and-a-half later after facing charges of selling indecent images of herself.

In December 2015 the Parole Board first blocked her release, saying she would be entitled to another review in two years.

previously reported the 35-year-old hoped she would be free in time to spend Christmas at home following her second appeal.

But a spokesman said: “A panel of the Parole Board has not directed the release of Tracey Connelly. Ms Connelly will be eligible for a further review.”

But it is unlikely that Connelly will have her sentence reviewed for another two years.

In the meantime she is believed to have been moved from HMP Styal in Cheshire to HMP Low Newton near Durham.

Connelly was initially been jailed in 2009 over the death of her son Peter, who was 17-months-old when he was found dead in a blood-stained cot.

Peter suffered more than 50 injuries over eight months and was seen by a string of social workers, the Metropolitan Police and health professionals.

They all missed warning signs that could have saved the toddler's life.

Baby P died at the hands of his mother, her boyfriend Steven Barker, and his brother Jason Owen.
