'WELL DONE FAKE ONE'

Rose McGowan slams Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano over friendship with Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife

ROSE McGowan has branded her former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano "fake" after she discovered she's still friends with Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife.

The star, who claims the movie mogul raped her, lashed out at the actress on Twitter following an interview in which she said she was offering support to Georgina Chapman.

Writing on social media, she said: "You make me want to vomit. You actually gave me a body flashback. Well done, fake one."

Milano, who has been an advocate of the Me Too movement, was asked on TV how Weinstein's estranged wife Chapman was doing in the wake of the scandal.

She told Today's Megyn Kelly earlier this week: "Georgina is doing very well. She’s an amazing mother.

"She’s an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation.”

Milano also pointed out that she remains in contact with McGowan too, adding: "I am also very good friends with Rose McGowan, my co-star on Charmed for five years."

The pair starred together in hit TV series Charmed, alongside Holly Marie Combs, from 1998 to 2006.

Chapman, the founder and fashion designer for Marchesa and mother of two of his children, has split from Weinstein since the allegations were made public.

McGowan, 44, who took a settlement from Weinstein after alleging that he raped her in 1997, said Chapman was complicit in her husband’s alleged bullying of Hollywood stars - who say he forced them to wear her Marchesa designs on the red carpet.

She then took to her Twitter account to upload a snap showing her in her youth and the words: “This is the girl that was hurt by a monster. This is the girl who you are shaming with your silence.”

McGowan retweeted the following remarks from another user: “I’m saying Georgina Chapman’s company was 100 per cent funded by Weinstein money. No one knew who she was in the fashion world before she married him.

“I’m saying Weinstein bullied abused women to wear his wife’s clothing line. She knew who and what she married and why.”

Chapman left Weinstein after the allegations against him first emerged in October.

At the time, she said she was "heartbroken" for the women who had suffered because of her husband but gave no indication of whether she had prior knowledge of their claims.
"My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband.

"Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time," she said in a statement."

McGowan went on to suggest that Milano and Chapman “call up Camille Cosby”, the wife of alleged rapist Bill Cosby, who has attacked for standing by her husband’s side as he denies drugging and having sex with dozens of women.

Milano has not responded to McGowan’s comments.
