He purchased the car registration number from the DVLA and holds the retention certificate.

However, he now says that if it goes on one of his cars he has "been threatened with no Christmas dinner" by his partner.

Mr Hoyle added: “Any monies raised over the original DVLA purchase price will go to a local homeless charity here in Torbay.

"The charity is looking to feed 100 plus individuals living on the streets in the English Riviera over the festive break.

“Please feel free to donate even if you don't wish to purchase the ultimate BREXIT registration number and please share this with others.

“Selling it with hopefully will bring some cheer to those less fortunate in Torbay.”

The numberplate is for sale on Gumtree currently listed at £750.

Mr Hoyle has been collecting humorous personalised plates for about 20 years and still owns some of his favourites, including "BOY580Y" (Boysboy) and "B4NDB".

He began selling plates to help charity following a stint in Torbay Hospital, after which he donated around £250 to the Ricky Grant Day Unit.

This time however, he decided to use the buzz word of the moment - Brexit - to raise awareness of another cause close to his heart.
