Killed Wormwood Scrubs lag stabbed with hunting knife ‘during mob attack’

A PRISONER killed in a cell was stabbed three times with a large hunting-style knife.
Dad-of-one Khader Ahmed Saleh, 25, suffered wounds to his neck, chest and back.
It is believed the inmate was attacked by a group of inmates while in the cell of another prisoner.
Prison officers found him slumped in the cell at about 3pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Saleh’s family hit out at prison bosses, saying : “He should have been safe”
The 25-year-old moved to the UK 13 years ago from Somalia, with his mother, three older brothers and sister.
It has been reported that he lived in Tower Hamlets with his wife and their two-year-old son.
Jail bosses had been warned of an “abundance” of weapons at Wormwood Scrubs in West London.
A source claimed the jail was plagued by gang wars that originated on the streets of London.

The Prison Officers Association said: “This is a consequence of staff cuts.”
Wormwood Scrubs, a Category B jail, was one of ten slated in the 201-17 Prison Annual Ratings, published by the Prison and Probation Service.
Four prisoners, all reported to be in their 20s, are being held on suspicion of murder.
