A SUN reader has discovered you can triple the size of your McMuffin for just £2.80 by using a customise feature on the self-service till.
Pals of Paul Steele, 26, say he deserves a “Nobel prize” for his groundbreaking fast food revelation.
His supersized double sausage and egg McMuffin features four pork sausage patties, three round eggs, three slices of cheese and two rashers of bacon.
The Thames Water worker said: “It was a eureka moment at the self-service screen.
“I went in feeling super hungry and that’s when I had the idea to just keep adding extra bacon, patties, eggs and cheese.
“It just came to me - it was like when Newton discovered gravity.”
Paul, from Bow in East London, paid £6.99 for his blockbuster breakfast menu at the McDonald’s in Enfield Retail Park.
The standard double sausage and egg McMuffin menu costs £4.19, including a breakfast side and drink.
Without any add-ons it comes with two patties, one round egg and one slice of cheese.
Paul paid 80p to add two patties, 80p for two rashers of bacon, 80p for two extra eggs and 40p for two more slices of cheese.

For good measure he had a hash brown and washed it all washed down with a latte.
He added: “At first the lady making the sandwich seemed a little bit confused but I have to say she made it beautifully.
“I reckon once this gets out it’s going to cause a craze all across the country.
“It’s something I’ll probably be remembered for in years to come.
“They may even name it the McMuffin of Steele.”
A standard double sausage and egg McMuffin has 565 calories in it.
Paul’s customised triple McMuffin is thought to add up to roughly 1,345 calories.
The recommended daily calorie intake for men is around 2,500.

A YOB-plagued branch of McDonald’s has eased the trouble with classical music. The restaurant at Shepherd’s Bush was branded the roughest in London. But boss Atul Pathak said: “Playing classics like Bach to set a calmer tone is working really well.”
