SADIQ'S LOVE-IN

Sadiq Khan poses for selfie with right-on Canadian leader Trudeau and calls him ‘one of world’s leading feminists’

The London Mayor invited Justin Trudeau and Jacinda Ardern to speak at an event in London

SADIQ KHAN today hosted two of the world’s most right-on politicians for a summit in London - and showed off his latest bromance with a selfie.

The London mayor held a love-in with Canada’s trendy PM Justin Trudeau and New Zealand’s new leader Jacinda Ardern, who is currently pregnant.

Mr Khan gushed that the prime ministers are “two of the leading feminists in the world” as the trio were questioned about gender equality by a room full of children.

The meeting came as Mr Trudeau and Ms Ardern were in town for the Commonwealth gathering hosted by the Queen.

The Mayor introduced them by saying: "We have got two of the leading feminists in the world, they are in positions of power and influence and they are amazing people."

Mr Trudeau - who famously insisted that women would have half the places in his government - claimed that he is bringing up his sons to be feminists so they can use their power to promote women’s rights.

He said: “If you think about it, we are in a situation where men are unfairly given more opportunities, more power and more weight to what they say and do because we have an imbalance in our society.

"Well, the men have to be encouraged and brought along and use that extra power and weight we give them to be part of making equality happen, to be part of the solution."

Ms Ardern, 37, who used to work for Tony Blair, became New Zealand’s prime minister last year - six days after finding out she was pregnant with her first child.

Her husband has decided to give up work to become a full-time father.
