Ikea’s new store in Exeter gives WRONG directions to shoppers sending them 3 miles away
Blunder saw motorists attempting to visit the flat pack giant’s Exeter branch end up in small Devon village of Alphington

IKEA shoppers have been left scratching their heads after official directions to a new store saw them sent to a small pink bungalow three miles away.
The blunder affected motorists attempting to visit the flat pack giant's Exeter branch.
A glitch on their website resulted in them being directed to the home in the nearby Devon village of Alphington.
The bizarre gaffe was spotted by a man who was trying to find directions for his mum who lives locally.
The man, who does not wish to be named, said: "I phoned Ikea at 11am this morning to tell them about it, and I just checked the website now (4pm) and it hasn't changed."
He added that it was a "shambles."
The occupants of the bungalow declined to comment, but neighbours said the error had left them feeling slightly bemused.
One said: "I did hear about this but I can't say we have been any more significant traffic as a result - but we are quite bemused by the whole thing.
"We are not even that close to Ikea."
An IKEA spokesperson said: “We are aware that there was an incorrect postcode for the IKEA Exeter store on our website and we have now updated this.
"The correct postcode is EX2 7RX. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused some customers trying to access the store.”
