Dad, 45, dies after ‘random attack’ near Brixton O2 Academy

A DAD died after being repeatedly stabbed in the chest as London's bloodbath continues.
Gearoid Gaffney, known as Gerry, was rushed to hospital after being knifed in South West London on May 13.
The 46-year-old passed away in hospital eight days later and a 52-year-old man has been charged with murder.
Gerry is originally from County Kildare but was living in Brixton where he worked as freelance rigger in the music industry for a number of different venues.
Tributes have flooded in for the married dad-of-one from devastated pals in his native Ireland, with some stunned at what they believe is a "random attack".
But a close family friend told the Gerry had been involved in an "altercation" when he was "repeatedly stabbed in the heart".
The pal added: "Gearoid had worked in theatres and the entertainment business all his life he was an outgoing lad who was never phased by the fact he became friends to many of the stars who played in Brixton.
"He was the life and soul of the party, an outgoing guy, not the type to look for trouble but he wouldn’t back down either, quite how the row that cost him life started is not clear yet, but it's more than likely Gearoid was going to help someone out.
"The whole family are in complete shock over what has just happened to them.
"A number of family friends travelled over as soon as they got the news on the Sunday night. They, and his legion of friends worldwide, were rooting for him to pull through, but sadly he didn't make it."
Cops were scrambled at around 8.30pm on May 13 where they discovered Gerry with stab wounds to his chest.
A post mortem is due to be carried out and next of kin have been informed.

DCI Mark Cranwell of the HMCC, said: "We would ask anyone who saw the incident or has any information about the events that led up to the confrontation to contact detectives.
"Your information could be vital in helping us understand why this tragic event happened."
The stabbing is the latest in a surge of violence in the capital this year with 66 people murdered since the start of 2018.
The bloodbath meant the grisly murder rate in London overtook New York for the first time.
