Jeremy Corbyn-led government would ‘put security of nation at risk’, says former Labour MP
John Woodcock trusts Theresa May to protect United Kingdom more than Labour leader

A JEREMY CORBYN-led government would be a security risk to the nation, says an MP who quit the Labour party last week.
John Woodcock insists the Labour leader and shadow Chancellor John McDonnell can’t be trusted with the country’s nuclear arsenal and security services.
He urges all potential voters to think twice about voting Labour at any future general election, in an interview with The Times.
Mr Woodcock, 39, said: “The Labour Party has been my life, but I think it would put the security of the nation at risk if Jeremy Corbyn were to become prime minister."
He added that “handing over the reins of power in this country to two elected people — Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell — and a coterie around those people who could do an incredible amount of damage”.
Woodcock, who will now sit as an Independent in the Commons, maintains he puts Theresa May ahead of Mr Corbyn when it comes to protecting the nation.

He said: “I think our response on a key national security issue of Russia’s attack and the threat it is posing has been credible and broadly right from this prime minister.
"I have no faith that it would be from Jeremy Corbyn.”
“You would have nothing like the totally necessary robust response that you had to that use of chemical weapons on our soil.”
Woodcock was suspended from the party in April over allegations of inappropriate text messages to a former female staff member between 2014 and 2016.
He denies all the claims.
