Meghan Markle ‘on edge about what’s next’ after dad Thomas’ shock comments about Princess Diana, royal expert claims

MEGHAN Markle has been left “bereft of a dad” and on “edge” after his bombshell comment claiming Princess Diana would be unhappy at his treatment, a royal expert says.
Commentator Angela Levin says the Duchess has been left stunned and fearful about what Thomas Markle might do next.
Ms Levin, the author of new Prince Harry biography Harry: Conversations With The Prince, told : “It must be desperately upsetting to Meghan, who I think is a very good actor at putting on a good face, but she must be very hurt.
“She was very close to her father and she did want him to walk her own the aisle.
“For him to do that has made her speechless psychologically and physically - she can’t say anything to him now.”
Speaking to the , Thomas Markle said: "They [the Royal Family] have Meghan treating her father in a way that Harry's mother, Princess Diana, would have loathed.
"That's not what Diana stood for."
The Duchess was said to be "deeply embarrassed and hurt" that her dad referenced Diana.
Palace aides have reportedly had three top-level crisis meetings about how to deal with her family, particularly her dad.
Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle today hit out at the Duchess on her birthday telling "Meg" to send their dad a "belated card" after he turned 74.
She unleashed the vitriolic tweet as her half-sister celebrated her 37th birthday - her first as a member of the Royal Family.

The former American actress has endured a stream of criticism from Samantha, accused of being "cold" since tying the knot with Prince Harry.
