Rose West, the prolific child-killer has proved herself as a dab hand in the kitchen after winning a baking competition at HM Prison Low Newton

SERIAL killer Rose West was crowned star baker for her Victoria sponge in a prison bake-off competition.
The 64-year-old responsible for the deaths of ten victims vowed judges at the baking challenge in Low Newton Prison's F Wing.
While serving 12 life sentences she has discovered her flair of baking and was allowed to wander the prison kitchen with knives.
But despite her knack for knocking up sweet treats, medical staff at the prison have warned the 18-stone con that she should think about dieting as she is at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
She may be a whizz in the kitchen, but West is far from popular in the prison and has been known to use her sugary treats as a way to make peace with fellow inmates.
One source told : "West uses her cooking skills to win people over.
“There are some very violent women on the wing and a lot of them are very aggressive towards West because of her crimes.
“But she tends to defuse situations by offering other prisoners cakes and biscuits."
She has been attacked by other inmates inside the prison known for it's "high-profile" murderers.
She rapidly began to gain weight after she realised that she would never be released from prison, a fact that has affected her heavily say sources.
Surprisingly, what with her horrendous crimes, she has been described as 'model prisoner' by wardens.
