Child killer Mick Philpott whinges about his hard life in jail after slaughtering six of his kids in house blaze
The sick dad of 17 started the 2012 blaze with wife Mairead

CHILD killer Mick Philpott has moaned about life behind bars in a letter that says “I can’t believe I’m still here”.
Philpott, who killed six of his kids in a house fire, denied responsibility for the deadly blaze and whimpered how his “heart and soul have been completely ripped out”.
Dad-of-17 Philpott and his wife Mairead, 34, were caged in April 2013 after their children were killed in the fire at their cramped three-bedroom house in Allenton, Derby, as they slept in May 2012.
Along with friend Paul Mosley, they burnt down their home to try and get a bigger council house - but it backfired when the property was engulfed in a fireball, trapping the six children upstairs.
The evil trio were found guilty of manslaughter in April 2013 and Philpott was sentenced to life with a minimum of 15 years after being branded a “disturbingly dangerous man with no moral compass”.
But in a letter penned from HMP Wakefield the twisted 62-year-old pinned the blame on a neighbour, the Star on Sunday reported.
The killer said: “I’m completely innocent. My babies are my whole world, my life…they gave me so much love, joy, happiness and laughter.”
The letter also reveals how Philpott has asked his lawyers to look at whether he can appeal against his life sentence.
The monster claimed his new lawyers believe there is forensic evidence that would clear him.
Philpott, who used to receive the equivalent of a £100k a year salary in benefits and wages, said: “There was no flammable liquids or residues on my clothes or trainers and like me they can’t understand why they was not used in court, plus other material that backs my case.”
The Philpotts were convicted in 2013 of the manslaughter of their six kids, aged five to 13.
Last year it was revealed Mairead had complained about losing her cell luxuries after being moved from a high-security jail.
She had been serving her 17-year sentence in top-security Bronzefield prison, Surrey, but was left in tears when she was moved to nearby Downview jail.
