Drug lord El Chapo’s beauty queen wife Emma Coronel flaunts her riches in bikini selfies as he awaits trial in jail in New York
WHILE her drug lord husband awaits his trial in a high security New York prison, former beauty queen Emma Coronel Aispuro has been showcasing her life of luxury in glamorous online snaps.
The brunette bombshell wife of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is often pictured in skimpy outfits as her hubby gears up to face the US justice system.
Other photos that have appeared on a number of social media accounts bearing her name show Emma Coronel wearing tight jeans, stilettos and Prada purses.
The narcotics kingpin reportedly fell for the model after seeing her at a beauty pageant when she was 17 and he was 47.
Now 29, she has had two children with him, giving birth to twin girls in 2011. Both were born in LA and have American citizenships.
Last month a series of pictures emerged showing the young mum flashing the cash at her daughters' seventh birthday party.
In one social media post, which has more than 23,000 likes, she poses proudly in front of a life-sized Barbie-themed palace that she had constructed for the event.
Other pictures showed giant arcs made of pink and white balloons, a three-tiered birthday cake, Barbie themed menus and party hats.
A retired Drug Enforcement Administration agent told the : “The whole story with her is so surreal.
"She goes around and flaunts her wealth and lifestyle in front of everyone’s face.”

El Chapo is currently awaiting his trial over money-laundering and drug trafficking charges.
He is considered one of the world's most notorious drug lords, and has been accused of killing thousands of people while raking in billions of dollars from the cocaine trade.
His trial is set to begin in a federal courtroom in Brooklyn early next month.
