Woman, 33, claims she suffered ‘agonising burns’ after using £3.99 Boots highlighter
Screwfix worker Kerry Louttit, 33, from Newcastle, said she had to go into work hiding her face

A WOMAN has claimed she suffered "agonising burns" after using a Boots makeup product and fears the ordeal could leave her scarred.
Kerry Louttit, 33, says her cheeks began to "bubble" days after applying Boots's £3.99 Collection Speedy highlighter, with her skin becoming red and sore.
Boots say they are investigating Kerry's claims and say it is "very sorry" to hear about the incident.
Kerry, from Fenham, Newcastle, said: "It was horrible as I had to go to work looking that way.
"The pain was a constant, agonising, itchy burning pain - I've never known anything like it.
"I've used makeup for years - cheap and expensive stuff - and products from the Collection range but I've never had an issue."
Kerry, who works in Screwfix, has now returned the makeup for testing at the retailer's request.
She was impressed with the high street chain's fast reaction to her complaint, but her fiancée Rob Jenkins, 35, claims the incident has left her "gutted and upset".
John said: "She said people were looking at her and it was making her uncomfortable.
"She's tried every makeup going, and she doesn't have sensitive skin so she has no idea how this happened."
Kerry visited her GP twice out of worry before doctors prescribed her creams, including hydrocortisone, which Kerry claims "make it ten times worse".
"Sudocrem is the only thing which has helped," said Kerry "which makes me think this is a burn.
"Whatever it is, it hasn't taken kindly to my skin and I don't know why.
"Now I'm worried this will scar."
