COPS are probing an incident where a man in his 40s claimed he was threatened with a knife after a Labour fundraiser.
An investigation has begun into an assault allegation after an event attended by shadow Brexit Secretary Keir Starmer.
The victim went to hospital for treatment and later told police he had been attacked by three people last Sunday.
Party members had turned up at an Indian restaurant at a £25-a-head lunch to raise money for the party at the Namaaste Kitchen in Camden, North London.
The Met Police said: “The victim stated he had been assaulted by three people and threatened with a knife. An appointment has been made to speak to the victim. No arrests. Enquiries continue.”
Mr Starmer left the restaurant before the incident is alleged to have taken place.
