The celebrity homes destroyed by the California wildfires – Gerard Butler, Neil Young and Miley Cyrus among the affected

THE worst wildfires to hit California have ripped through the state devastating homes, killing 77.
And many celebs have been affected too - here's more on the raging inferno.
Whose house has been affected?
California is the home of Hollywood... meaning many movie stars have residences there.
The fire's proximity to Tinseltown means many movie stars have had their houses destroyed or been forced to flee for their own safety.
Here is a rundown of the A-listers known to have been affected by the huge blaze.
Pierce Brosnan
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan put his hand on his head after finding his Malibu home torched to the ground.
The actor was snapped returning to his Malibu neighbourhood after being evacuated by the choking flames.
His wife Keely Shaye Smith, 55, who wore a respirator mask so she wouldn't breathe in any smoke.
Kim Basinger
Kim Basinger's daughter Ireland Baldwin revealed on Twitter that her mother had lost her house in the California fires.
The 64-year-old star's daughter tweeted: "My mom and her partner lost their Malibu home in #Woolseyfire and thankfully, they are both safe."
Gerard Butler
Actor Gerard Butler shared a selfie on Instagram showing his home burned to the ground behind him and wrote: "Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating.
"Heartbreaking time across California.
"Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters."
Butler added: "If you can, support these brave men and women at ."
Neil Young
Legendary rocker Neil Young, who is married to actress Daryl Hannah, lost his eco-friendly home in the mountains.
Writing on his website, he tore into Donald Trump who had blamed forestry management rather than climate change.
He raged: “Imagine a leader who defies science, saying these solutions shouldn’t be part of his decision-making on our behalf.
"Imagine a leader who cares more for his own, convenient option than he does for the people he leads. Imagine an unfit leader.
“Now imagine a fit one.”
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus was also affected by the blaze and confirmed her house "no longer stands".
Miley tweeted: "Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community.
"I am one of the lucky ones.
"My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now.
"My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong."
Robin Thicke
Robin Thicke's girlfriend April Love Geary, 23, posted a photo on Instagram showing a wall of smoke and said: “Our house is somewhere in there.
"I’m so sad but so thankful that we all made it out safe.
"Praying for everyone in Malibu, our city is up in flame."
This was followed up by a message from Thicke in which he thanked firefighters and members of the public who tried to save their home.
He posted: "April, Julian, Mia and I would like to thank the courageous firefighters and volunteers.
"As we drove to safety, they risked their lives trying to save our home.
"We are safe and surrounded by friends and family.
"We thank you all for the love and support we've received and we send our love and prayers to everyone affected by the fires. Count your blessings!"
Will Smith
Will Smith and his family have been forced to flee their home in Malibu as the wildfires spread.
In an Instagram story on Friday, the actor showed that the fire was visible over the hills from where he was stanidng, outside his home.
He said:“We are not in the evacuation zone but I don’t like it, so we are going to go.”
Kim Kardashian West
Kim Kardashian West urged people to "come together" during "these trying times" as her home state of California was still dealing with deadly wildfires and the aftermath of a mass shooting.
Accepting the prize for the reality show of the year at the E! People's Choice Awards for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim shared a message of unity.
Kim and Kanye reportedly hired a private team of firefighters to help save their mansion.
Simon Cowell
The £18million mansion of Simon Cowell is at risk of being engulfed by flames from the California wildfires.
The X Factor judge, 59, had only shot scenes for the show in the sparkling seven-bedroom beach-side mansion – which he bought last year - just weeks ago.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has been forced to flee her home as the flames ravage the state.
On Saturday, Gaga tweeted: "I am thinking so deeply for everyone who is suffering today from these abominable fires & grieving the loss of their homes or loved ones.
"I’m sitting here with many of you wondering if my home will burst into flames.
"All we can do is pray together & for each other. God Bless You.
