Steroid-using martial arts fanatic Lynch was jailed for life after being found guilty of the 2008 crimes. Documents now show £182,962 of public money paid for his solicitors and barristers at crown court.
He received further legal aid for appeals. On one occasion, lawyers he hired for a court challenge were paid £5,400 from the public purse.

But there was anguish for Strictly Come Dancing star Katie, 35, last month when Sylvestre, 30, was freed.
He was only given a minimum six years for throwing the acid at the TV presenter in a North London street.
Mum-of-two Katie was left blind in one eye with a severely injured face. When his release was announced, she said she was going through “a really difficult time”.
