COLOURFUL and allegedly criminal US New York rapper Tekashi69 is facing up to 32 years in jail for racketeering and violent crimes.
Tekashi69 is accused of being a member of the Nine Trey Gangsters - an NYC sect of the infamous Los Angeles Bloods gang. Here's all you need to know about the organisation.
Who are the Nine Trey Gang?
The Nine Trey Gangsters (also referred to as TreyWay) are part of the United Blood Nation street gang - which is in itself a set of the LA Bloods.
Set up in 1993 at the Rikers Island jail complex in New York City, the gang operates primarily on the East Coast of the United States.
Nine Trey Gang have allegedly been engaged in sex trafficking of women and racketeering in Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Baltimore, New Jersey and other areas.
The gang's also been accused of distributing illegal drugs including heroin, cocaine, crack, ecstasy, marijuana and prescription painkillers.

Further allegations include dealing in counterfeit dollars to fund big drug purchases.
In September 2016, four members of the Nine Trey Gangsters were indicted for their alleged involvement in 10 shootings (Including five murders) last December in Norfolk, Virginia.
Is Tekashi69 a secret member of the Nine Trey Gang?
In November 2018, Tekashi69 - real name Daniel Hernandez - was indicted by a federal judge along with five other alleged members of the Nine Trey Gangsters for racketeering related to operating a criminal enterprise, murder, robbery, extortion and drug distribution.
Assistant US Attorney Michael Longyear said: "6ix9ine is a member of a violent sect of the Bloods... this defendant participated in multiple acts of violence."
Tekashi69 is currently in general population at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center.
6ix9ine is currently facing 25 years to life in prison on six counts of the gang-related crimes.
