They confessed they got the vile idea after watching a TV news story about another woman who got into trouble for romping with her pooch.

Johnston, 40, told detectives “he knew it was morally wrong," police files said.

A family member tipped off investigators after finding mobile phone footage showing Martinez having sex with Buddy in Phoenix, Arizona.

Someone in the room verbally praised the dog during the act, court papers said.

Martinez, 45, acknowledged it was her - and that her husband shot the video.

The disgusting pair were put on two years probation after pleading guilty to bestiality.

Martinez claimed during her first court appearance that Buddy was an assistance animal because she suffered seizures.

The  animal, whose breed has not been disclosed, was owned by a pal whose house was used for the sex session.

Police documents said: “Melessa indicated the bestiality occurred in the laundry room.

“Melessa said they were watching the news and saw that a woman got in trouble for sexual activity with a dog.

“So they talked about it and decided to try it.

“Melessa confirmed that a photograph shown to her  of her with the dog was her and indicated that was the event that she recalled her husband Roy recorded.”

Johnston currently has a warrant for his arrest after violating his probation by possessing illegal drugs, reports ABC15.

He is said not to have checked in with his probation officer since September 13.
