A COUPLE arrested over the Gatwick Airport drone chaos have been released without charged.
Sussex Police said the man and woman arrested were no longer suspects following the widespread disruption of flights through the illegal use of drones.
Who are the released suspects?
Paul Gait, Paul Gait, 47, and Elaine Kirk, 54, were quizzed by cops after officers swooped on their home in Crawley on Friday night.
Pals have claimed Paul, who reportedly served in Bosnia and Northern Ireland with the Royal Artillery, can't have been behind the attacks that saw 1,000 flights cancelled or diverted.
Only nine weeks ago Paul posted a video on a Facebook drone community page from his garage asking for technical help to repair his high-spec Trex FBL 600 helicopter.
And just 48 hours before Gatwick was brought to a standstill he posted in a forum trying to get a spare part.
Paul’s boss insisted the dad-of-two was at work while the drones were bringing Gatwick to its knees.
And his daughter Gemma, who helps run Allard Double Glazing in East Sussex and has a child with Paul, insists he was having a cup of tea with her at the time of the attacks.
What's the reward offered by Gatwick Airport?
Gatwick Airport published a statement offering £50,000 for information leading to the capture of those responsible.
Gatwick - Britain's second busiest airport - serves more than 43 million passengers a year.
The disruption began at around 9pm on Wednesday and flight schedules have only just started returning to normal.
A spokesman said earlier: "Broadly, things are going in the right direction. By the end of the weekend, things should be back to normal."
