Customers go mad over Greggs price rise that’s seen cost of a meal go up by 5%
Hard-up customers will be forced to shell out extra for sausage rolls and meal deals after the clocks hit midnight on the 31st

BAKERY chain Greggs has hiked its prices for next year once again - and customers are furious.
Hard-up customers will be forced to shell out extra for sausage rolls and meal deals after the clocks hit midnight on the 31st.
Individual breakfast items have been marked up by 10p across the board, while meal deals have gone up by a massive 15p.
The firm insist the changes are a result of inflation and skyrocketing production costs.
But one furious customer Tweeted: "Greggs rising their meal deal prices to £3.15 is an absolute joke."
Another raged: "Greggs please don't put the prices up much more or you'll lose your edge over your competition."

A third fumed: "Today is a sad day! Greggs have increased the cost of the breakfast bacon roll and a drink deal again! What was once the 'deal of the year, every year' is now a rip off!"
But one user backed the hike, writing: "If you consider a 10p rise in price for a Greggs meal deal as a rip off then you need to go back to bed. Seriously. Food prices go up all the time."
A spokesman said: "We fight to keep prices from going up but we can't hold back inflation forever so we are making selective price rises on those products where we still offer outstanding value for money."
