Perhaps the most alluring aspect of his photographs is their mysterious atmosphere.

In many shots, moody blankets of fog and mist circle and shroud the tranquil scenery.

This is primarily because Horspool prefers shooting in the morning, when he feels less like a tourist and more like a local.

His body of work showcases a range of subjects, from seaside cities and mountain villages to natural pools and twisting tributaries.

“It’s always the best time to explore a city, as there are literally no tourists or locals about,” says Matt.

The Aussie's photos have featured in various print and online publications and have won multiple online awards including the ‘Best of 2018’ National Geographic Your Shot images.
