Girl, 3, dies on Disneyland holiday jumping from fifth floor hotel balcony while trying to reach family four floors below
Stephanie Martinez apparently believed she could reach her relatives four floors below by falling onto the covered area of the courtyard they were in

A GIRL died from jumping from a fifth-floor hotel balcony trying to reach relatives on the first-floor.
The parents of Stepanie Martinez have now reached a settlement with the hotel, where they stayed whilst visiting nearby Disneyland, over the alleged wrongful death.
The three-year-old plunged from a fifth-floor walkway of the Embassy Suites hotel in July 2015 as her mum showered.
The toddler wandered out onto the balcony, saw her relatives sat in a covered courtyard on the first-floor and thought climbing over and jumping down would be the fastest way to meet them.
Her mum, Alejandra Sandoval Duran, emerged from her room to discover Stephanie hanging from the rails.
Alejandra's terrified scream reportedly scared the little girl and she let go, falling to her death.

Stephanie, who lives in Las Vegas, was rushed to hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly afterwards.
Her relatives have said they have derived some comfort from knowing Stephanie visited Disneyland before her death.
Her parents subsequently sued the Embassy Suites hotel chain, claiming that "dangerous, defective and unsafe" conditions at the hotel led to her tragic death.
The conditions of the agreement remain undisclosed, but they may have been made public at a court hearing scheduled to take place at Los Angeles Superior Court on January 17.
