Jordan Chandler said he had been molested by the King of Pop during a tooth extraction.

Dad Evan Chandler gave his then 13-year-old son a powerful sedative and asked if Jackson had ever groped his privates.

He then angrily confronted the singer, demanding to know: "Are you f***ing my kid?", according to police files.

Evan Chandler went on to make public allegations against Jackson before accepting a $23million settlement in January 1994.

A police investigation was dropped, and the Thriller star always denied wrongdoing.

But the high-profile allegations hung over Jackson for the rest of his life and have been brought into focus once more after the Leaving Neverland documentary featured detailed accounts by two more accusers.

The most controversial aspect of the Chandler case was his reported use of sodium amytal, a synthetic barbiturate also known as amobarbital.

DRUGGED WITH 'TRUTH SERUM'

Evan Chandler had encouraged his son's friendship with Jackson - even after discovering they shared a bed and press reports that the singer had "adopted" him.

But he came to suspect sexual abuse and in 1993 confronted his ex-wife June, who had custody of Jordan. She dismissed his worries.

In August that year Jordan had a tooth extracted by his father. While the boy was sedated, Evan quizzed him on whether Jackson had ever touched his penis.

Evan later admitted Jordan was given sodium amytal, although the anaesthetist's records reportedly indicated he used other drugs.

Sodium amytal was developed by German scientists in the 1920s and had a reputation as a "truth serum".

It puts patients in a "hypnotic" state and was used by some psychotherapists to uncover what they claimed were "hidden memories".

But research has suggested in fact the drug only makes patients more prone to suggestion and risks implanting false memories.

Evan Chandler used the evidence to launch a case against Jackson, which made headlines around the world in late 1993.

Jackson cancelled his world tour amid the scandal and lost his decade-long advertising deal with Pepsi.

And he was strip searched by cops to verify Jordan's description of Jackson's skin due to the condition vitiligo.

It made Evan "public enemy number one" among Jackson's devoted fans, and he saw his life fall apart despite the $23m payout.

His brother Raymond later revealed Evan had 19 plastic surgery ops to change his appearance following countless death treats.

Estranged from his family, Evan Chandler shot himself in 2009, four months after Jackson died of a drug overdose.

He was the second father of a Jackson accuser to take his own life.

Dennis Robson, father of Wade, hanged himself in 2002 after years of torment.

Wade talks about the tragedy and his abuse at Jackson's hands in the sensational documentary Leaving Neverland along with fellow alleged victim James Safechuck.
