THE Sun’s Hero Of The Week celebrates ordinary people who do amazing deeds.

Each week, we will present a Good Samaritan with a special Sun front page and a £50 thank you.

This week the award goes to a dad who helped to save his son’s life when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

Jason Plant, 42, performed CPR when Tommy, seven, collapsed at his home in Birmingham. Tommy’s heart stopped twice but thanks to Jason and others he survived.

Jason said: “I just did what any dad would do.

“West Midlands Ambulance services and Birmingham Children’s Hospital are the true heroes. We call them the ‘angels in green’.”
