Paedophile jailed at 97 — and will become one of Britain’s oldest prisoners

A PAEDOPHILE has been jailed at the age of 97 — becoming one of Britain’s oldest prisoners.
Christopher Stowe was sentenced to six years for abusing a girl in the 1970s when she was between three and five.
His victim said the attacks ruined her childhood, making her feel worthless and dirty.
Judge Sarah Buckingham said it was likely Stowe would die in jail.
But she added: “Balanced against that is the obvious harm you have caused. Only a custodial sentence can be justified.”
Wheelchair-user Stowe, from Coventry, admitted indecent assault and gross indecency.
His lawyer told Warwick crown court: “He no longer poses a risk or threat to anyone.”
Stowe suffered heart failure in 2017, has poor eyesight and has been referred to a specialist because of suspected skin cancer.
