Girl, 9, killed and boy, 7, seriously injured after being hit by car while riding bikes in Galway
Police said the road was closed for a forensic examination, and there's an appeal for information about the fatal collision

A NINE-year-old girl has been killed and a boy, seven, was seriously injured after the pair were hit by a car while riding their bikes in Ireland.
The two were rushed to hospital where the girl was pronounced dead, said a police spokesman in Galway.
The two children were involved in a collision with a car on the Ballinasloe to Ahascragh Road just before midday.
A Garda spokesman said: "Gardai are currently at the scene of fatal road traffic collision between a car and two cyclists, a girl aged nine and a boy aged seven.
"The collision occurred this morning, Sunday 21st April 2019 at approximately 11.55am on the R358 Ballinasloe to Ahascragh Road Co Galway.
"Both children were taken to Portiuncula Hospital [in Ballinasloe, County Galway] where the nine-year-old girl was later pronounced dead.
"The seven-year-old boy remains in a serious condition.
