Builder nearly sent flying off scaffolding after magpie drops a frozen chicken on his head

A BUILDER was nearly sent flying when a magpie dropped a frozen chicken on his head from the sky.
Tim Vessey, 45, almost fell off his scaffolding when the 2lb bird whacked him.
The magpie swooped down and plucked the chicken from an open kitchen window where it had been left to defrost.
Tim and his colleagues, who were working on the roof of a neighbouring house, watched in amazement as it soared away.
He said: “We couldn’t believe it managed to fly off with it.
“But then I got a bigger surprise a few seconds later.
“There was a sudden bang on the top of my head, an almighty wallop.
