Michael Gove says Boris Johnson ‘will make a great PM’ as old enemies finally make up

MICHAEL Gove has made up with Boris Johnson by saying he would make a "great PM".
The Environment Secretary buried the hatchet and got behind his ex-leadership rival today - but hasn't officially endorsed him.
He was due to say in a speech of Boris and his leadership rival Jeremy Hunt: "We can trust them both to do the right thing on every critical issue.
"I know that both would make great prime ministers."
The news ends months of feuding with the man he stopped from entering No10 back in 2016.
It completes an extraordinary U-turn from Mr Gove, who was accused of stabbing Boris in the back three years ago when he said his rival "wasn't capable" of being PM and pulling support for him.
Mr Gove could be willing to make the comments as part of a bid to keep his job if Boris wins the leadership race as expected next week.
Whoever gets the most votes of Tory members will be crowned leader of the party and PM next Tuesday.
Boris is currently the favourite to win the race, with Hunt seen as the underdog.
Every poll so far has put the Brexiteer ahead.
