VOTERS’ fury over Brexit logjam was laid bare as the Lib Dems topped an election poll for the first time in NINE YEARS.
A staggering YouGov survey put Sir Vince Cable’s party on 24 per cent – ahead of the Brexit Party on 22 per cent.

The Tories and Labour were tied on 19 per cent.
If followed through in a General Election Labour and Jeremy Corbyn would have the most seats given constituency boundaries – but wouldn’t have a majority.
Experts said the poll for The Times was yet another reflection of Brits’ anger with Britain’s two biggest parties for the chaos over the EU divorce.
Nigel Farage’s pro-No Deal Brexit Party won last week’s Euro Elections with a 32 per cent of the vote with the Lib Dems coming second on a clear anti-Brexit standing.
The poll came as former Lib Dem Coalition Minister Ed Davey called for Brexit to be stopped altogether.
Launching his campaign to replace Vince Cable – who’s stepping down in July – he said Article 50 should be revoked.

A Lib Dem source said: “We haven’t been this popular since ‘I Agree with Nick’ in 2010. It’s great news but we need to be able to make this stick.”
The Lib Dems last topped a Westminster voting intention poll in 2010.
Ex-leader Nick Clegg’s performance in live TV debates pushed the Lib Dems to 33 per cent, ahead of the Tories on 32 and Labour on 26.
Briefly, Mr Clegg was almost as popular as Winston Churchill at the end of WWII. But the Lib Dems were all-but wiped out in the 2015 elections.
The incredible poll came after Philip Hammond delighted ‘Remain’ campaigners by claiming Brexit may have to be handed “back to the people” in a second referendum to break the deadlock.
Jubilant People’s Vote campaigners leapt on the comments and welcomed the Chancellor as the “latest senior Tory” to welcome a second vote.

Separately the Tory candidate for next week’s crucial Peterborough by-election said Theresa May’s decision to quit had boosted his chances of victory.
Paul Bristow, stuck in a three-way fight for the seat with Labour and the Brexit Party, said: “The fact that we’re going to get a new leader certainly helps us - voters are concerned that we’ve failed to deliver Brexit yet.”
