Party MP launches foul-mouthed rant at Corbyn’s hapless spin doctor
Jess Phillips told Seumas Milne civil war 'is f***ing personal' in very public tirade

A LABOUR MP branded Jeremy Corbyn’s spin doctor a “c**k” after a foul-mouthed row in one of Westminster’s public spots as civil war threatened to destroy the party.
Outspoken Jess Phillips unleashed her anger at the hapless leadership on Seumas Milne as it became clear Mr Corbyn would fight on despite losing the confidence of three quarters of his MPs yesterday.
Ms Phillips, who resigned from her post earlier this week, shouted “this is f***ing personal,” at Corbyn’s right-hand man, explaining how one Corbynitsa had threatened to take a blow torch to her neck.
She said it was just one example of the increasingly bitter attacks the Labour leader’s “dogs of war” were launching at MPs who have come out against him.
The Labour leader has been accused of fuelling aggressive behaviour towards disloyal MPs by speaking at public rallies where supporters sported t-shirts saying: “Eradicate the right wing Blairite vermin.”
Mr Milne tried to dismiss her concerns, saying he had faced similar threats telling her “Don’t take it personally,” according to .
It is this comment which caused Ms Phillips to launch her sweary rant at the spin doctor before storming off.
Ms Phillips has previously threatened to knife Mr Corbyn "in the front, not in the back" if she believes he is damaging the party's chances of electoral success.
Mr Milne also warned the Birmingham MP that her faction would have to put up a candidate to challenge the Labour leader as he had no intention of resigning.
It is the latest embarrassment for the novice spin doctor, who has no experience of political power games having spent most of his career as a journalist at the Guardian.
Yesterday he also organised the botched launch of Mr Corbyn’s new shadow cabinet in which the Labour leader was caught on microphone telling his key adviser: “This seems a bad idea.”
