Married female teacher, 35, ‘had sex with pupil, 15, in field and sent him topless pic on Snapchat’
A MARRIED teacher had sex with a 15-year-old boy in a field and sent him a topless snap, a court heard today.
Kandice Barber, 35, is also accused of telling the boy she was pregnant after they had sex.
She also allegedly sent photos of herself surrounded by sex toys as she performed a sex act on herself and messaged the boy in class, saying: "You look fit".
The teacher, who has school-age children of her own, began messaging the student in September 2018, jurors heard.
Aylesbury Crown Court was told how she asked if she could borrow his phone before putting her details in his Snapchat account.
She then started to message the boy and told him she was having a bath and asked him if he wanted to meet up, it was said.
'I BEGAN TO PANIC'
After picking him up in her car, the pair allegedly drove to a field and had sex before she sent him a topless photo on Snapchat.
They later met up for sex two other times as the photos began circulating around the school, jurors heard.
The court was told one of the pictures was seen by the headmaster in November 2018 and Barber was arrested in March last year - after the boy denied having sex with her.
But during his police interview, he told officers: "I lied because she had told me she could be pregnant with my child and I began to panic. I lied to pretty much everyone except my friends.
“She said that if I was going to snitch, snake on her basically, she was going to bring me down with her.
"I was like, are you going to accuse me of rape? She was like, dot dot dot. Obviously I got angry and I did not talk to her after that.”
'BAD PATCH'
Richard Milne, prosecuting, told the court how the teen found it "weird" when Barber first approached him as he was mates with her son.
He added: "He (the victim) was not proud of what happened, he was not showing off, it was not some sort of fantasy.
"He was extremely concerned and nervous when the rumours were going around."
Jurors heard how Barber denied having sex with the boy and claimed her baby, which she later lost, was her husband's.
But in a meeting with a social worker, the teacher admitted she sent the topless photo to him, it was said.
Mr Milne added: "She said that she was going through a bad patch with her husband, that she was pregnant but lost the child, they wanted another but it was not happening.
“Things were strained between her and her husband. The boy had paid her attention and she had let her guard down and started to talk to him.”

Barber, of Wendover, Bucks, denies three counts of causing or inciting a child aged under 16 years to engage in a sexual act.
She has also pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual communication with a child, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activities while in a position of trust and one count of causing a child to watch a sexual act by a person in a position of trust.
