KIM Kardashian and Kanye West reportedly paid for a private team of firefighters to help save their mansion and their neighbours' homes from the devastating California wildfires.
The power couple have been praised by those who live near them after shelling out for a crew who dug trenches in order to keep the inferno at bay.

"In light of these situations, I am so inspired by the firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives to do whatever they can to help. They are our true heroes.
"We must all come together during these difficult times to support each other."

When picking up a gong at the People's Choice Awards Kim said: "We would like to dedicate this win to all of the firefighters, police offers, and first responders.
"As horrible as this has been, it's been amazing to see the spirit of everyone involved.
"So anything that we can do to help the many organizations - no form of help is too small. We must continue to reach out and help each other in these trying times."
At least 200 people are missing in a fire devouring a spot north of the state dubbed Camp Fire and another stretching from San Fernando Valley to the celeb packed Malibu coast.

But hot dry "devil winds" are expected to whip up flames until the end of tomorrow, hampering desperate efforts to quell the rampaging fire storms.
