THIS is the horrific moment several young men fell from from an articulated lorry in Ireland on Saturday evening during a victory parade.
Enniskerry GAA Junior B, a gaelic football team, were celebrating winning a tournament when a railing opened resulting in a number of people crashing to the ground.
The horror incident took place on Saturday at around 6:30pm in the centre of Enniskerry village in County Wicklow, around 12 miles south of Dublin.
Footage of the incident show a number of players standing on top of the lorry celebrating before the railing at the rear of the vehicle opens and a number of people fall to the road.
Police have said up to nine people were taken to hospital but none are thought to be in a life threatening condition.
The chaotic event unfolded as the team were in the middle of a victory parade following winning the the Junior B Wicklow Championship Final earlier in the day.
Shocking video footage shows the celebrant gathered at the back of the lorry as they hoisted the cup and celebrated by jumping up and down.
DISASTER STRIKES
But then disaster strikes just as the truck begins to take off, as the railing at the back of the trailer opens, resulting in a large number of people plummeting to the ground below.
In a statement, Enniskerry GAA club said: "There is no critical or life threatening injuries after tonight’s accident nor was there any deaths.
"Some players have bad injuries but everyone will be fine," they added.
In a statement to The Irish Sun, a spokesman for An Garda Siochana (Irish police) said: "Gardaí at Enniskerry are investigating an incident in which a group of young men were injured when they fell from the trailer of an articulated lorry.
"The incident occurred in Enniskerry Village this evening at approximately 6.30pm."
"It’s understood up to nine people were injured and removed from the scene by ambulance to Tallaght and St Vincent’s Hospitals for treatment.
"Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The road was closed for short time but has since reopened.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Health Minister Simon Harris also took to social media to express well wishes for those injured.

Enniskerry GAA beat their rivals Avoca 2-10 to 0-10 to win the Junior B Wicklow Championship Final.
