Filbert Fox adds to Leicester’s great season becoming first Premier League mascot to sign boot deal
Foxes make history again as lucky charm signs with Puma to sport their footwear for the next two seasons - and it clearly worked based on team's 4-0 thumping of Swansea
MORE incredible news coming out of Leicester this morning...
Not only are the Foxes flying high at the top of the Premier League, sitting EIGHT points clear of second-placed Tottenham in the table, as well as seeing star midfielder Riyad Mahrez crowned PFA Player of the Year, but there’s great news for their mascot too...
Filbert Fox has become the first mascot ever to sign a boot deal.
No seriously, the Leicester lucky charm has put pen to paper with sportswear giants Puma.
The mascot will don a pair of Puma evoSpeed Tricks every week — as revealed by the club on Twitter.
Filbert Fox signed on the dotted line to wear the boots for two years.
The mascot even wore the footwear for Leicester’s 4-0 home thrashing of Swansea.
Clearly the evoSpeed Tricks were a blessing for the Foxes as they extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points with just three games to play.
The deal clearly gave Claudio Ranieri’s men a boost — as goals from Mahrez, Marc Albrighton and a Leandro Ulloa double put a demoralised Swans team to the sword.
Tottenham take on West Brom tonight as they look to close the gap on the rampant, table-topping Foxes.
