FIFA 17 trailer reveals Anthony Martial, Eden Hazard, Marco Reus and James Rodriguez on the cover – with Lionel Messi gone

Jose Mourinho - and other managers - appear to feature in the game as women's club teams are included for the first time

ANTHONY MARTIAL will be one of four covers on the new box of FIFA 17 after EA Sports released their first trailer for the game.

The Manchester United forward had a superb season after huge initial doubt following his £36million move from Monaco last summer - scoring 17 goals for the club.

Martial will be joined on the cover by Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and James Rodriguez of Real Madrid.

That means that Lionel Messi will not be on the cover of the game for the first time since 2012.

EA Sports announced the next version of the game will use the hugely powerful Frostbite gaming engine, which has been used on Battlefield 4, Need for Speed and Star Ward Battlefront, among others.

FIFA 17 will also include women’s club teams for the very first time - FIFA 16 had women’s international teams - and even managers.

The trailer also showed a figure that appeared to be Jose Mourinho watching a game at Old Trafford.

Titled 'Football has Changed' the trailer begins with a run through of FIFA through the years, from the mid-90s until today.

It then introduces the four players and a quick snapshot of a figure that would appear to be Mourinho - hinting that managers could be a prominent feature for the first time in the series.

The first demo will feature 10 men's teams - including Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Leicester City - and four women's teams, including Arsenal and Liverpool.

Already available to pre-order, the game will be available globally from 29 September.
